Located among the rolling hills and fields of the Rockaway Valley in north central Morris County, Boonton Township has managed to preserve much of its natural character and rural charm.

Boonton Township was incorporated in 1868. Currently there are 3,566 residents living within this eight square mile community.

Directions to Municipal Building

From 287 Northbound: Take Intervale Road exit. At end of the exit ramp turn left. At traffic light turn right onto Fanny Road. At second stop sign turn right and quickly bear left onto Powerville Road. The Municipal Building is #155 on the left.

From 287 Southbound: Take Parsippany Blvd. (202 North). Proceed straight thru traffic light onto Fanny Road and follow above directions.

Hours of Operation: 9:00 - 5:00 Many officials are part-time and appointments are recommended.

Recycling

Every other Friday curbside collection of paper, glass, plastics and cardboard. Recycling depot opened 9:00 to 12:00 Saturdays at Municipal Building.
